A big welcome to RHONDA JENSEN and KATIE KING who came stepped out on 07.22.12 and shared their desire to become part of the Bella Vista Christian Family.
Rhonda moved to Rogers on Thanksgiving day 2004 from Ames, Iowa to live with her mom after the loss of her father. Rhonda, her brother, sister, and parents were all raised in Iowa and attended the Lutheran Church. As an adult, she went to the United Church of Christ and was a Deacon. Since moving to Rogers, Rhonda attended Peace Lutheran in Rogers with her mom and began running the sound system in 2007. Tony & Amy Talbert invited Rhonda to visit BVCC after knowing her for years at PLC.
She started working in the Transportation field in 1976 and is a member of the National Safety Council's Million Mile Club on buses--school bus thru Greyhound. Rhonda has driven 3/4's of a million miles in tractor-trailers and has been to 20 states. She is also a member of Women in Trucking. She writes about her experiences at www.truckingtruth.com . Rhonda does this so others will know about the life of a driver and the trucking world, and to help those who are entering this field. Article #57 is ready and should be up on the site this month.
Rhonda is currently an employee at the Tyson Cornish Hen plant in Springdale in the packaging department... boxing and bagging the finished product on the day shift. She is not driving at this time, but may return to it later.
When not working, Rhonda is usually writing stories and trying to keep her orange Mustang clean. She also enjoys baking breads, scones and granola bars from scratch. Rhonda says she is “addicted to Facebook!”
