WELCOME TO THE BVCC FAMILY

JESSICA CHAVIERS

On August 21, 2011 Jessica made her Confession of Faith and was baptized by Rachel Herring. She has been connected with the BVCC Student Ministry after moving here in June from Alvin, Texas.  A job opportunity brought Jessica and her family: Jeff and Dina May, sister Katherine, and brother Caleb to Bella Vista.  She is an 11th Grader at BHS.

Jessica enjoys sewing and reading, and she has recently joined HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) at school.  Jessica feels this club will be of value in her life as she hopes to become a pediatrician and possibly someday operate and serve at a non-profit free clinic for people in need.

Allen and Pam King also came forward to share the news they were becoming a part of the BVCC family. Read their profile below.

The Kings moved to Northwest Arkansas ten months ago from Central Illinois. They were married last year on 10.10.10.

Both are enjoying their days of retirement.  Allen had a career as a Corrections Officer for the state of Illinois for 30 years. Pam was employed as a medical secretary at a hospital. He has four sons: three living in Illinois and one in St. Louis.  Pam has four daughters and 1 son all residing in IL. They are blessed to have between them 16 grandchildren with another on the way.

They enjoy traveling and visiting family, but try to find time to attend plays at the Rogers Little Theater. Allen particularly enjoys this, as he performed with the Lincoln Community Theater for 15 years and was part of the VBS skit team this summer at BVCC. Other hobbies of Allen's include slot car racing and Science Fiction. Pam is an avid reader, especially enjoying the inspirational romances and “Amish” books.  She also likes to cook.

Through the years the Kings have served the Lord in the churches they attended. Pam taught VBS and tutored children after school.  Allen has been a scripture reader, but was also part of a team that memorized the book of James in the Bible and did these dramatic interpretations during the church services. He has also assisted behind the scenes with youth choir sets and  serving meals.
