Meet Keri Copp and daughter, Tanya
(Came forward to transfer membership on 5-15-11)
Keri has lived in NWA for 20 years. Her parents, Richard and Susan Smith, were house parents at Cookson Hills, so Keri and twin sister, Teresa Leiva, split their growing up years between Kansas, OK and Southwest City, MO. Keri and husband, Jason, have three children. Travis and Tyler both attend JBU in Siloam Springs and daughter, 17 year old Tanya. Keri also has two stepsons in Arkansas.
When the children were younger, Keri assisted her dad in a craft business creating woodworking items. She now teaches higher math at her family operated Christian School, New Heights, in Centerton since it opened 12 years ago. Tanya also attends classes at NHCS.
Keri has worked with many ages of children, but her passion is serving with teens. She has also helped in the Guest Services Ministry. Tanya has already been on two mission trips over the past couple years to Haiti and Africa. She has a heart to work with children of all ages and helps out in our Children’s Ministry often. They both enjoy hiking, camping, reading, while Tanya also does cross stitch.
