Meet Irene Huitt

We were blessed to have Irene Huitt transfer her membership to the BVCC family on  April 24.

Irene moved to NWA over two years ago from Salem, MO, where she and her husband resided for 25+ years. In their earlier years her husband managed a shopping center and Irene worked in a retail store in Maryland.

      The Lord and His church have always been at the center of the Huitt family.  Irene taught Sunday school and coordinated Vacation Bible School many times She and her husband served the Lord faithfully for years at the Salem Christian Church. She has been attending BVCC with her family and commented with excitement “I can tell this is a church that likes to talk about Jesus!”

      She has three daughters: Susan Smith and Holly Flick (both BVCC members) and a daughter who resides in Virginia.  She also has a son who remains in Salem.  Irene also has 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. In total, Irene has 41 family members attending Bella Vista Christian Church at the present time!!

     Irene has always loved to work with her hands and through the years has painted artwork and made quilts for her family.  She even sewed wedding dresses for some of the girls. Even in these golden years of life, she continues to sew and does latch hook.
